Together, we are a family of educators, parents and caregivers devoted to making the most of a child’s formative years. Established in 1982, Richland Academy is a non-profit, academic and childcare service provider that is guided by the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. Serving children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years, Richland Academy provides a nurturing environment that supports the natural development of each child’s social, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and physical growth.

The Montessori classroom is a child-sized world. Whatever is in the outside world can be incorporated meaningfully into the classroom. Our Montessori programs provide individualized instruction and stimulate independent exploration. The self-paced nature of our educational programs allows children to progress according to their own developmental readiness, not the readiness of the rest of the class.
